Palestine Image & Film Archive

The Palestine Image and Film archive is a non-profit organisation established in Beirut in 2017. Its mission is to collect, preserve and study photography and films related to Palestine. The archive intends to make its collection accessible to the public through a wide spectrum of activities including exhibitions, publications, videos, and an online image database. The archive will collect photography from pre-mandate Palestine to the present day. Currently, the archive will be focusing on building the online archive with full accessibility to the public.

The archive will be seeking to engage with artists and scholars, encouraging public curiosity, and working in partnership with like-minded institutions. The archive hopes to generate critical thinking about photographic, filmic, artistic and archival practices, using the collection as a basis for research, reflection and creation of new works, forms and ideas.
